It features interviews with Dan Lorenzo, Alan Tecchio, Jimmy Schulman, Ed Fuhrman and Scott LePage PLUS old video clips, live footage and tv show appearances. New Jersey's HADES came on to the thrash metal scene in 1987 with the release of "Resisting Success". They received glowing reviews in all the major metal magazines. In America HADES performed countless shows opening for bands that included Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, Manowar, Overkill and Danzig. HADES was a fundamental band in the history of thrash metal, featuring Alan Tecchio (Watchtower) and Dan Lorenzo (Non Fiction) and this DVD is the best way to capture again the magic of that period.

Multi-Platinum Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar aka "The Red Rocker" has his eleventh solo album on offer. At times this album will bring you back to the earlier "Van Hagar" stuff we were used to in the eighties. I'm not talking about the singles, just mainly the songs that weren’t used as singles from that era. Hagar definitely strikes a resemblance to those Halen guitar tones at some points in this record and also climbing a genre of his own solo material as well. The vocals on the record do not sound anything like Van Halen, so don’t get your panties in a bunch, this is not a revisist to the Van Halen days.
Think of it as Sammy Hagar in 2008 loving what he is doing and releasing good music (not great) but good overall music that we can all enjoy.

We are proud to show you the new metal band HAMKA based in the south of France.
This name comes from an old Tibetan godess.
The band was created in december 2003 by Willdric Lievin, previously founder and compositor of the french band Fairyland. Willdric entered the music world as a drummer when he was 10. During many years he played in different kind of band. In 1998, he founded Fairyland but after troubles due to musical directions, he decided to build a new band mixing differents metal styles and ambiences.
After their great collaboration and friendship in Fairyland, only one name came up on his mind for the sing, it was Elisa C.Martin, the famous spanish woman singer (ex Dark Moor and actual singer of Dreamaker). Her experience and knowledge of music bring force to the band.
Then, Damien Rainaud (ex Stress, ex Assacrentis), a talented drummer from Nice and a close friend of Willdric joins the band. In january 2004 Yann Mouhad (ex guitarist in a local band called Whiplash) is recruited. His technic and incredible feeling bring an incredible touch to the compositions. And lately Hugues Lefebvre joined the team as bassist, he is also the founder and leader of the prog
metal band Anthropia.

The Nottingham Tapes
This performance, filmed on April 23rd 1984 at the Palais in Nottingham, England, has since established itself in the annals of Rock n Roll legend. The Nottingham Tapes was born. Here, at last, for the first time on DVD, is that very footage in all its sleazy, gritty glory. As a piece of rock history it is priceless, as a piece of pure rock n roll pleasure it is peerless. Formed in Helsinki in 1979, Hanoi Rocks drew their influences from American proto punk bands such as The Stooges, The Sonics and most obviously The New York Dolls. But unlike their punk peers they delved into the music that inspired their heroes - Chuck Berry, Little Richard and other Rock n Roll icons. Add a healthy slice of glam rock to the mix and you had a band that would, in turn become a massive influence on generations of rock bands that followed, most significantly Guns and Roses and Manic Street Preachers. For the best part of five years Hanoi Rocks stormed the world, relocating first to Stockholm then London, and although they never achieved the commercial success they deserved they amassed a huge cult following that still thrives today. So much so that Mike Monroe and Andy McCoy reformed as Hanoi rocks in 2002 and are still touring.

HARD is a Swedish-Hungarian hard rock group, formed in 2004 by some of the finest musicians of the Hungarian hard rock scene. After 2 critically acclaimed and award nominated albums in Hungary, the band decided to take a step forward and hit the international music territories with English lyrics.
After several line up changes, their first international offering, “Traveller”, Thanks to the album’s leading single, “Stay”, which was heavily rotated on the radio, the record soon became successful. The band has appeared in the biggest international hard rock & heavy metal magazines, such us Metal Hammer, Burrn!, Fireworks, Hardline, Powerplay, etc. Rave reviews were made from every corner of the planet, even from the USA.
None other than famed record producer Beau Hill (of Winger/Ratt/Warrant fame) blew his mind when he first heard the album, so he immediately asked the guys to let him remix some of the tunes. They agreed, and the result was more than amazing. The band also made a highly successful guest appearance at the Z Rock Festival in the UK in May 2009, but right after that a brand new chapter began in the HARD history.

Hard Spirit is a new 4-piece hardrock band out of Spain. Their debut album is filled with straight ahead hardrock with strong songs built up by brilliant melodies and big riffs.
Their sound is right up the same alley as Hardline (II), Danger Danger (Paul Laine era), Slaughter, and Skid Row.
Yes, this is a damn strong album and they have the same quality as the mentioned bands with a uptodate production handled by Dani G. Their singer Toni Amboaje is really great, he has a voice that reminds of Johnny Gioeli (Harline, Axel Rudi Pell).
He really shines out on this album together with guitarist Gansan that delivers some outstanding melodic riffs. The songs has big hooklines and they have come up with fantastic arrangements with strong harmony vocals. Just listen to Daydream On The Ground with heavy riffs and a huge chorus with powerful background vocals. Every Street Of Sorrow is a Skid Row sounding rocker with a fantastic chorus.
Walk The Wild starts off as a ballad but turns out to a great hardrock song a'la Danger Danger. Slave Of Twilights is nothing but a fantastic guitar driven song with a catchy chorus.
Dreaming is a nice ballad that runs into the Alive In The Hole that rocks with loads of hooks. This is a very strong album without any fillers, just pure hardrock songs with great hooklines.
This is a new sensation from Spain and if you're into those mentioned bands then Walk The Wild is an album you should check out. The CD-cover is great and reminds little of Nickelbacks All The Right Reasons album..

Leaving The End Open
Hardline was formed when brothers Johnny (vocals) and Joey (guitar) Gioeli, originally from the band Brunette, teamed up with Journey/Bad English guitarist Neal Schon. The original plan was for Neal to produce Hardline, but as he was having so much fun that he decided to join the band as soon as he left Bad English for the tensions that arose with John Waite.
They immediately added established musicians Todd Jensen (David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper) on bass and Deen Castronovo (also coming from Bad English) on drums to the mix and the result was magnificent. They went on to record their debut album “Double Eclipse” for MCA in 1992 and then went on the tour circuit with such heavy hitters as Van Halen and Mr. Big.
The first single from “Double Eclipse” was the song "Hot Cherie". While never popular in the mainstream, various radio stations worldwide started to play it and Hardline's fanbase started to grow. They released a video to MTV, but did not get much airplay. By that time grunge and alternative had already taken over and melodic rock was being pushed aside. Tension among band members, the record company and perhaps certain egos, got in the way of an immediate follow-up album, despite the band having written more than enough material.
While Neal re-started his adventure with Journey in 1995 (again together with Deen Castronovo), Johnny stepped out of the music business eventually to return as Axel Rudi Pell’s singer in 1998 on the album “Oceans Of Time”.
But years later Johnny and his brother Joey were ready to give it another go with Hardline after the call of Frontiers Records, and with an all new line-up they produced the awesome return album “II” in 2002 with Josh Ramos (of The Storm and Two Fires fame) taking Neal Schon’s place on lead guitar.
Hailed by critics and fans alike as a top return, the band returned on stage headlining the GODS Festival in Bradford in June 2002 before Johnny and Josh started to work on new songs in 2006. With a renewed line-up now featuring Johnny Gioeli on vocals and Josh Ramos on all guitars, with Michael T. Ross on keyboards, Jamie Brown on bass and Atma Anur on drums, Hardline are now back from where they have left off with a killer new album chock full of killer guitar riffs, amazing hooklines and heartfelt ballad sealed with Gioeli’s incredible vocals and the band’s instrumental prowess.

Harmony is musically located somewhere in the grey zone between Yngwie Malmsteen, Symphony X, Kamelot and the classic Swedish Power Metal which we know from Nocturnal Rites or Hammerfall. The album is packed with catchy and melodic power metal songs nicely peppered with plenty of neo-classical leads, harmonies and duels between guitarist Markus Sigfridsson and keyboard player Magnus Holmberg, and on top of everything we are given a great vocal performance by Henrik Båth. Only a few inches short of brilliant, but still a very impressive album from another force to reckoned with from Sweden - and no, no Swedish blood runs in my veins. The album does drop a little bit in the middle and I wish they had made room for the two 'left-overs' from the EP; however the result is still a first class power metal album worthy of your attention!

Let The Metal Live
FnA Records is set to release a piece of musical history. In 1985, Heavy Metal band HAWK recorded an album that would never see the light of day. Within the last twenty-four years from when the album was recorded, all the members of the band have gone on to have stellar careers.
Hawk featured Scott Travis who would leave Hawk for Racer X and then eventually become the ongoing drummer in Judas Priest; one of the worlds greatest Heavy Metal bands. Lead singer Charlie Wayne Morrill would eventually front King Kobra and be a major player in the development of the Bullet Boys. Lonnie Vincent also became a member of the Bullet Boys. Lastly, Doug Marks went onto form Metal Method; a highly successful instructional music video company.
Although the band wore a lot of make-up, they were definitely a heavy metal band with tunes like Witches Burning, Overkill, Burning Leather, and Don't Try To Stop Me.
The 10 track album also featured one ballad entitled No One 2 Love.
When FnA Records uncovered this gem in 2009 and found out that it had been sitting in the vaults all these years, they knew they had to release it. FnA Records named the album LET THE METAL LIVE after one of the tracks on the album and how appropriate that is for the times.

The Call
HEED are a new Swedish band featuring former LOST HORIZON members Daniel Heiman (vocals) and Fredrik Olsson (guitars). Since was never impressed by the music of LOST HORIZON, I didn't have high hopes for HEED's debut album. But what a big mistake! With “The Call” HEDD deliver a powerful and modern sounding Heavy Metal album that leaves no stone unturned! HEED use classic Heavy Metal elements, very melodic and anthemic vocal lines and soft Industrial Metal sounds which get all combined by the amazing voice of Daniel Heiman. The man pulls all the stops when he whispers, growls, screams and sings on top of his lungs. It's really difficult to select the highlights since “The Call” has become a very consistent release and every rotation reveals a new favourite. However, to receive an impression of HEED I recommend the two highly energetic opening tracks “I Am Alive” and “Last Drop Of Blood” plus the heavily erupting “Salvation”. These songs sum it up perfectly what HEED are standing for: power, energy and melody – the three ingredients any fan likes about Heavy Metal. I am sure this band will soon make the headlines!

HEEL is a Swedish duo featuring singer David Henriksson (HE) and guitarist Marcus Elisson (EL), which created the band name out of their initials. David Henriksson should be well known at the metal scene as the lead singer at the first two album of the Swedish metal outfit INSANIA STOCKHOLM. The duo started the songwriting already in 2003, but it took another 3 years until they signed a deal with Rivel Records and entered the studio to record their debut “Evil Days”. It shouldn’t be that much of a surprise that HEEL plays melodic prog-metal, but with the addition of a strong hard rock vibe in the style of TALISMAN their songs sounds much more interesting than many other bands of this genre.

Better Yet....
As frontman of VANDENBERG Bert Heerink improved three all-time classics of European Hard Rock: "Vandenberg", "Heading For A Storm" and "Alibi". After the split of the band it soon became silent around the Dutch singer who decided to pursue other musical interests. However, on the recently released second VOICES OF ROCK album he proved impressively that he can still rock! Cheered on by the VOICES OF ROCK creators, Michal Voss and Chris Lausmann, Bert Heerink now delivers his first full-length solo Rock album. The album features songs penned by the duo Voss/Lausmann as well as tracks from renown songwriters like Harry Hess (ex-HAREM SCAREM), Russ Ballard, Tony Martin (ex-BLACK SABBATH), Bob Daisley (ex-Ozzy Osbourne) and others. For all that I have to admit that I wasn't overly attracted by the album after hearing it for the first times. Many songs sounded unimpressive and colourless to me. But as so many times before, I just had to live with it for a littler longer and turn up the volume. Well, and suddenly the album kicked my ass! The surprsingly modern opener "Panic Attack", the highly melodic "Falling Down" (beautiful ballad), "Can't Make Me" (a smooth and very radio-friendly track), the dark and threatening rocker "Restless Heart" and the epic "Significance" turned into real "ear-catchers"! Even the restrained sounding voice of Bert Heerink and the pure and modern production sounded better with every playing of the album. My personal favourite bacame the very cool "Whose Side Are You On". I have no idea, if that's the Russ Ballard penned song on the album, but it would definitely fit with his songwriting style. As a closing statement I can say that Bert Heerink delivered a fine Melodic Rock album that I recommend to any fan of that kind of music. But please notice: Give it some time to grow on you and play it loud!

Groove and Soul. They're feelings that can't be taught. You either have them or you don't. They're what get you excited, get you off your ass and on your feet screaming and shouting 'til the sun comes up the next morning. Groove and soul, that was High Noon!!!
High Noon was formed in early 1989 when childhood friends and California natives, Ken Hitsman (guitar) and Sam Persons (bass), left their previous band to form one more to their liking. Ken was working at a local guitar repair shop, "Music Works", when drummer and New Jersey native Mike Patterson came in one day. "I noticed Mike was wearing a Drummers Collective t-shirt" recalls Ken. "I asked if he wanted to jam and we had the core." The three core members, along with friend and soon to be band manager Jim Foote, came up with the name "High Noon". An ad was placed seeking a vocalist in a local music magazine called "Music Connection" and the audition process began. In June of '89 vocalist and recent Buffalo, New York transplant, Jim Zappa, spotted the ad, liked the name and made the call. Jim, unlike many others who auditioned, came in and started improvising on the spot. "I remember them running all over the rehearsal studio like it was a show" recalls Jim. "In addition to saying to myself 'who does this at rehearsal?' I said, 'this could be fun' and started singing. That was how I came up with ideas anyway so it was a natural thing for me to do." It was that skill and great range that landed Jim the gig. The band quickly wrote a set worth of tunes and booked the first of many High Noon gigs on July 31st 1989.
High Noon was soon playing all over Southern California from 89 to 93. A majority of those shows were on the infamous Sunset Strip in Hollywood, Ca. Gazzarri's, The Whiskey, The Roxy and the Troubadour all played host to High Noon at one time or another. The band would also travel regularly to Orange County to perform at The Marquee. San Diego, Arizona and even Cabo San Lucas played host to High Noon shows.
Many of those shows were in support of national headlining acts of the day such as: Badlands, Babylon A.D., Hurricane, and Rhino Bucket to name a few.
The band also established strong friendships with members of Badlands and Great White. Greg Chaison, bassist for Badlands, personally invited the band to open for them at a gig in San Diego. Great White keyboardist/guitarist Michael Lardie would help start the recording of the bands second demo. Later those tracks were added to by friend and legendary producer Michael Wagener (Skid Row, Dokken, Extreme) who also mixed the entire demo. Working with "Wags" was an amazing experience and one which the guys are still grateful for to this day.
That demo was shopped to record companies and garnered some interest but unfortunately no deal was ever made. It did, however, gain the band some worldwide acceptance in Europe and Japan, even placing "Have My Heart" in the top 10 in Belgium.
Unfortunately, like so many bands before and after, High Noon started having internal problems. Original drummer Mike Patterson left the band to attend to personal matters in February 1992. He was replaced by former "Funhouse" drummer Jaime Harris. The band carried on with Jaime for about another year and a half, but with the coming of grunge the writing was on the wall. High Noon played it's last show on August 15th 1993 and rode off into the Hard Rock sunset.
The guys still stay in touch and remain friends to this day. Mike and Jim both eventually relocated back to the east coast, with Mike back in New Jersey and Jim now in Orlando, Florida. Ken, Sam and Jaime still remain in Southern California.

HIGHER GROUND is a Swedish rock band that was formed in Sandviken, Sweden in late 1994. In 1996, HG went into the studio armed with 6 songs which they recorded live and which led to them landing a deal. Released in remixed form in mid 1997, these six songs formed the “Keep On Walkin'” E.P., which received considerable critical acclaim. The band started work on their debut album in 1998 and HIGHER GROUND's debut full length album “Perfect Chaos” was released in May 2000. In 2004 the band went into the studio again to record their 2nd full length album “A Thousand Pieces” released our own label.
In 2009 HG is back with a new album called "13 Tracks" released on their own label. The album consists of 11 reproduced and remixed songs from previously released albums and two new songs recorded in their own studio.

Keyboardist Leo Mendes made his first musical contact with the vocalist Riq Ferris in a work named "Hardhits", a cover band playing hard rock and AOR songs. They recorded a demo CD, but the work didn’t continue and the band broke up in mid 2006. Before “Highest Dream”, Leo Mendes and Riq Ferris were part of many projects. Leo worked as keyboardist, producer, musical director, arranger and made several works with many artists. Also, he acted intensely in the musical theatre scene of Rio de Janeiro .
Riq sang in several rock bands and recorded several works, such as Sigma 5, Thotten, Snow, and as backing vocal of some artists such as Ted Poley, Joe Lynn Turner and Tony Martin.
In May 2008, Leo contacted Riq again and discussed their dreams. Both had several songs and ideas in their personal collections, and that was enough to start recording “Highest Dream”. All compositions and arrangements were made in a very spontaneous and genuine way, without the intention to create something biased. It was exactly the realization of all the musical influences that was within each of them.
The music on this debut CD is Melodic Rock and has all the hallmarks of the eighties style sound with great guitar playing (using three great guitarists of Rio de Janeiro : Marcelo Nami, John Cassio and Marcio Loureiro) and some fantastic parping keyboards, courtesy of Leo himself. The result is an astounding array of compositions that range from Asia-like keyboards to Journeyesque melodies with some Kansas overtones.
Truly this CD can be considered as a great achievement of talented musicians who were born with the true essence of rock in their veins.

After the live album 'On The Road Again' (2002) both vocalist Robert Soeterboek and guitarist Attila Szabo are replaced by Stan Verbraak (ex-Helloise) and Gert Nijboer. Together with Martin Mens (guitar), Edwin den Haag (bass) and drummer Ernst van Ee they have recorded this record. Anno 2008 the band still knows how to write a decent tune, in which especially the original guitar parts and the still excellent vocals of old-timer Stan Verbraak are domina-ting. Just listen to title track 'Keep Of The Faith', 'Run Away', 'Road To Paradise' or 'Dreaming Of Heaven' and you'll know what I mean. Also the re-recorded versions of 'Headbangers' and the awesome ballad 'Endless Trail' from the debut album 'Storybook Heroes' are both excellent.

Kingdom Come
Vocalist Ken Redding has a voice that reminds me of guys like Ken
Tamplin, David Coverdale and Rob Rock. He has that clean, powerhouse,
classic metal style that fits so well the galloping, traditional metal
riffs and melodic song writing that His Witness has to offer. He even
occasionally belts out some of those high-pitched screams that guys
like Ray Perra and Michael Sweet were so proficient at.
Surprisingly, the sound quality here is quite good. The album was
originally recorded by Randy Thomas (Sweet Comfort Band/Allies) and
mixed at Pakaderm Studios, which was owned by the Elefante brothers. As
such, the recording is especially good for a project that was self
financed in the late 80's. Fans of bands like Bloodgood and Sacred
Warrior as well as classic underground heavy metal such as Cross, Holy
Saint, Angelic Force, Emerald and Oracle would do well to check out His
Witness.

When you listen to Swedish metal band House Of Heavy, it quickly becomes apparent that bassist Henrik Lundberg was raised on a healthy dose of Slayer and Megadeth, while vocalist and guitarist Mattias Wellhag rocked out to Van Halen and 80s glam stars. The fact that these two didn’t knock each other out in a battle of the genres is amazing, but even more phenomenal is the fact that they formed their own band, and combined the best of both sounds to create something unique.
Probably never before have I come across an album that can tame the beast in fans of traditional metal, while still appealing to glam and radio metal listeners. With an opening track that actually should be lumped into the intro to the second song, "Warpaint," House Of Heavy begins with a relentless bass drum and a quarter note attack on bass guitar, before the surprisingly high range, melodic glam style vocals of Wellhag enter the scene.
Wellhag’s voice is good, but not fantastic, while having the chameleon quality of sounding at times anywhere from Ozzy to David Lee Roth to Axl Rose, sans the screams. But no matter whether he’s rocking out on an arena rock or anthemic tune, or adding a touch of industrial distorted sounds like on "A Hard Mans Lyric," the assault provided courtesy of the bass and drums never stops. The best example of their unique style is probably "Ride Shotgun," which opens with a mosh pit inducing intro, before leading you through a chorus that sounds like a beefed up metal version of Van Halen’s "Jamie’s Cryin," and finally, an ending that makes you feel like you’re listening to USC’s marching band.

Long regarded as one of rock's legendary voices, Brian Howe started his career in 1983 as lead vocalist for Ted Nugent on the "Penetrator" album and fronting its band on the subsequent world tour. In 1984, drummer Simon Kirke, and guitarist Mick Ralphs asked Brian to replace Paul Rodgers as the lead singer in Bad Company. Brian decided to accept the offer and continue the legend of the band. This was not an easy task, but along with Kirke and Ralphs, Brian created, wrote, recorded and toured for the following 10 years, headlining every major venue around the globe.
Along with Bad Company's highly acclaimed 1993 live CD "What You Hear Is What You Get - The Best of Bad Company - Live", Brian wrote and sold with Bad Company something like 19 million of records, highlighted by such radio and video hits as "Holy Water”, "If You Needed Somebody," "No Smoke Without A Fire," and "How About That," - not to mention a few of the group's previous hits as recorded on the "live" CD.
Thirteen years after the release of his debut solo album “Tangled in Blue” (later renamed “Touch” in Europe), Brian is back with his awesome new solo album entitled “Circus Bar”. To seek the right inspiration, Brian travelled to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala with producer and songwriting partner Brooks Paschal (ex Sullivan). In just a few days the inspiration flowed through and the songs that build up the bulk of the album were written. The title of the record itself comes from a little bar managed by circus performers, where Brian and Brooks spent their creative time.
Some more friends helped Brian in shaping up “Circus Bar”, an album, which promises to be a career landmark for this amazing singer: Wayne Nelson of Little River Band dropped by the studio for a few days and also Pat Travers popped in and played guitar on "My Town".
The album includes also two stunning – newly recorded - remakes of the Bad Company hits “How ‘Bout That” and “Holy Water”.
Mixed to perfection by Rafe McKenna (GIANT; BAD COMPANY, TESLA, TEN), “Circus Bar” offers melodic music with an edge: 100% timeless gold class. Better believe it: Brian Howe is back to Rock !
