RS is a new Melodic Rock alliance featuring Tommy La Verdi (21 GUNS), Josh Ramos (THE STORM, HARDLINE) and Michael Shotton (VON GROOVE, AIRTIME).
Started initially as a way to bring back to the public the amazing vocal talent of Tommy La Verdi, a singer which came to the attention of the fans on the fabulous 21 GUNS debut album "Salute" in 1992, the whole project morphed into a power band trio when two other well known musicians: guitar player Josh Ramos and drummer Michael Shotton were brought into the picture by the album producer Alessandro Del Vecchio (HARDLINE).
The writing sessions were fast and steady, with Del Vecchio managing all contributions from the band members – who lived in different places - and offering a number of his own writings and co-writings to the band, which was anyway able to develop a distinct sound in the tradition of JOURNEY / THE STORM, with hints of Canadian AOR - think mid 80's TRIUMPH.
The resulting album promises to be a shining example of today's AOR music with soaring vocals from a superb vocalist who comes back into the well deserved spotlight and some exquisite guitar playing from Ramos. This is an album not to be missed and an AOR highlight for early 2014!

Swedish guitarist and composer Erik Jayce Landberg was born in the winter of 1977. Due to his father's professional commitments, he
saw himself growing up in the countryside, between Stockholm and Switzerland. Being exposed to a constant change of cultures
Jayce developed a strong interest in art and poetry, but had originally no interest in playing music.
However, after his mother's repeated pressure to play an instrument like the piano or the violin, he saw himself confronted with a
difficult choice. At age 14, he finally gave in and decided to pick up the guitar and soon after immersed himself in composition and
writing from the very beginning. The piano was Jayce's next choice, on which he later composed pieces like "Winter" and "Marilyn".
Being exposed to rock and classical music simultaneously he soon absorbed the essence of the two genres and originally
endeavoured to combine them like his predecessors Malmsteen and Uli Jon Roth. At 18 Jayce left his Swiss household to
permanently relocate to Stockholm were he joined several bands until he finally met with singer Goran Edman (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen,
John Norum, Vindictiv). The two of them set up to record two songs, "Lost Without You" co-written with Goran and the epic ballad
"Marilyn" which Jayce originally wrote as a classical music piece. The recording was released as a single in Europe and attracted
soon the attention of record companies abroad. As a result, Jayce signed a deal with Escape Music to record his debut album "Break
The Spell" (ESM178) also featuring Goran on vocals. “Break the Spell” was a great way to introduce Jayce, and this second release
sees him hone his sound to perfection and this array of songs will appeal to fans of guitar orientated rock / metal in the vein of Yngwie
Malmsteen.

Fenrik Lane originate from Bergen, Norway. They have been playing together since 1997, making their debut in 1998 with the single "Shoe", the result of coming first place in a rock competition. In 2002 they released the independent EP "Come Down Here" which sold an amazing 20,000 copies in their native country -- a result of constant touring and an acclaimed energetic live show. The band's original vocalist was Kurt Nilsen -- who entered and won Norwegian Idol, later going on to take the big price in World Idol late in 2003. Kurt then quit the band to continue his solo career.
Fenrik Lane became a trio, with guitarist Knut Glesnes taking over as lead singer, displaying a compelling and unique style of his own. In 2005 the band released their first full album, "Lane of Life". This time the band really wanted to sound like a trio with no additional effects. LANFEAR were founded in 1993. They recorded a selftitled demo and released their debut "Towers" by themselves. Urwerk Records re-released the album with a different cover artwork in 1997. The more progressive second work "Zero Poems" saw the light of day in 1999 and was released by Famous Kitchen. The public interest about LANFEAR grew rapidly and today many people consider "Zero Poems" as a Prog Metal Classic. The third and more powerful LANFEAR album "The Art Effect" was recorded in Dreamscape studios, Munich, and was released in Europe by Massacre Records (March 2003).

The issue with the Swedes is that eventually is something in the water over there. Definitely, there is something magic in Sweden's water, otherwise it cannot be explained how they manage to release every year so many bands and notable releases. Last Autumn's Dream comes also from Sweden and it is one of the few bands that within relatively few years of their existence (counts 10 years of life) appears today in the music business with a brand new album which is entitled "Level Eleven". And as you all can assume it's their eleventh official album. Not bad at all, would I dare to say.
Their music is simple, highly melodic and includes brilliant performances thanks to the great voice of Mikael Erlandsson, catchy and memorable choruses and generally each and every single release from these guys sounds pleasant. Besides, from their classes passed musicians like Marcel Jacob (R.I.P.)of Talisman and Ian Haugland, Mic Michaeli and John Leven of Europe. The 'escape' of their lead guitarist and founding member Andy Malecek, for personal issues in 2014 , he did not discourage the other members of LAD and thus he returned to the music scene with the fresh "Level Eleven".
A quite strong start with the fast-paced rocker of "Kiss Me" to follow a typical Last Autumn's Dream track; "Follow Your Heart" is what every fan of the melodic rock scene asks for; an up-tempo monstrous tune with tons of melody, a clever chorus line to sing-a-log and a feel-good vibe in it! "I'll Be There For You", "Go Go Go-Get Ready For The Show" and "Delirious" are all three great samples of a band that is not compatible with the new trends and fashions of music and the only thing that knows is how to deliver catchy and well-crafted melodic rock.
Well-played, beautiful and extremely melodic disc that comes to add nicely next to the other very good albums of Last Autumn's Dream.

Last Autumn's Dream is a hard rock band formed in 2002 by vocalist and keyboardist Mikael Erlandsson from Sweden and guitarist Andy Malecek from the German hard rock band Fair Warning.
When searching for other band members, they asked bassist John Levén, drummer Ian Haugland and keyboardist Mic Michaeli, all from the band Europe, if they were interested to be part of this new musical project and since that moment the band began working on their self-titled debut album, which was released in 2003.
By the time they began working on their second album, II, Europe had reunited, and Last Autumn's Dream had to replace Levén, Haugland and Michaeli with Marcel Jacob (Talisman), Jamie Borger (Talisman, Treat) and Thomas Lassar (Crystal Blue), respectively. II was released in 2005.
Thomas Lassar left the band after II, paring the band down to a quartet. The band then released the albums Winter in Paradise in 2006 and Saturn Skyline in 2007.
On June 6, 2007, the band released their first greatest hits album, Impressions: The Very Best of LAD, an exclusive released for the Japanese market. The band performed at the United Forces of Rock festival in Ludwigsburg, Germany on September 30, 2007 alongside Joe Lynn Turner, Stan Bush, White Wolf, Soul Doctor, Human Zoo and Danger Danger.
The band released their fifth studio album, Hunting Shadows in Japan on February 22, 2008 as well as the live album Live in Germany 2007.
The sixth album release from Last Autumn's Dream is called Dreamcatcher was released for Japan on December 24, 2008 and was out in Europe on January 26, 2009.
On July 21, 2009, Marcel Jacob committed suicide. He was 45 years old.[1] Nalle Påhlsson was brought in as his replacement.
The band's seventh and eighth albums, A Touch of Heaven and Yes, were both released in 2010.
On December 14, 2011, the band released for Japan market their ninth studio album called Nine Lives. In this recording were included The Last to know with Jeff Scott Soto, Angel Eyes, a duet with Jenny Redenkvist and Waited A Long Time as Bonus Track.
Now 2013 will see the Tenth album of the band. Just celebrate it !

Secret Weapon
One can say that Howard Leese truly is a veteran when it comes to rock n' roll, having begun his music career at the early age of 9 and getting signed to the first record deal at 15 with his first band “The Zoo”. They played some of the largest concert venues in LA and opened for major bands of the day, such as Spirit, Canned Heat, and Butterfield Blues Band.
Leese went on to study music theory and classical music at Los Angeles City College, opting to leave for real-time experience in the studio when an opportunity presented itself for him to have full use of a recording studio in Vancouver. It was there that the fateful meeting with the Wilson sisters took place not long after when local band "Heart" came in to record a demo in 1974 which Leese produced.
Howard finally joined Heart in 1975 and stayed with the band for 22 years, incorporating a variety of instruments on their albums, such as electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and keyboards. He also co-produced some of their 13 albums. Heart had 20 top 40 singles, 3 International n. 1 singles, a n. 1 album ("Heart") in 85', has received 4 Grammy nominations and has sold 40 million records worldwide.
Leese grew up listening to such greats as Dick Dale (the first live experience that he had), Keith Richards, Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac, Jeff Beck, Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Paul Kossoff of Free, which inspired him to put together a group in Seattle called "The Brigade", playing some old Free classics.
In 1997 the legendary Paul Rodgers (Free, Bad Co, The Firm with Jimmy Page, Queen) had moved from England to Vancouver and was looking for a U.S. back-up band. Intrigued by how well Leese could play Kossoff's particular style and licks, he asked him to join his band. In 1998 Howard Leese joined The Paul Rodgers Band and more recently became touring member in the reformed Bad Company line-up.
Howard Leese spent his career putting others in the spotlight and making sure they stay there, often being called Heart’s “secret weapon.” His first solo record, aptly entitled “Secret Weapon” is an effort that’s sure to thrust him into the spotlight he so patiently has watched dance around in front of him for decades. Howard Leese offered up legends like Joe Lynn Turner (former Rainbow and Deep Purple singer), Paul Rodgers, Keith Emerson or Jimi Jamison (ex Survivor), for the space, or better yet, the lesser known talents of Deanna Johnston or Andrew Black. Howard Leese takes great pride in having his work heard from the dark depths that linger behind the spotlight. Leverage is a Top Level Melodic Metal band which came out of nowhere in 2006, causing a stir with the release of their debut album “Tides”. Their blend of modern metal sound and old school melody-based songwriting earned rave reviews from the media and created a fanbase both in Finland and throughout the rock community in many countries.
One highlight of the ratings was melodicrock.com naming ‘Tides’ as the best Metal/Prog album of 2006, with 2 songs at the top of their heavy rock song listing. The band’s frontman Pekka Heino (also singer for Brother Firetribe) was also named the vocalist of the year!
“The warm welcome for ‘Tides’ was a pleasant surprise for us” says the band’s guitar player and main composer Tuomas Heikkinen. “We got good radio airplay in Finland , even climbed to the charts, all before our very first gig with our own material! Since then, we’ve played throughout Finland at clubs and festivals. Our music has been described as melodic metal or melodic heavy rock, which is fine by us”. Rock and Metal lovers will easily recognize influences from Rainbow, Magnum, Stratovarius and Masterplan.
“Blind Fire” will be released in Europe (minus Finland ) on Frontiers Records on January 25th 2007. The first reactions to the material are enthusiastic and there are already plans for the band to play live outside their homeland.

Coming from California and rocking like it's 1985 here we have LIGHTNING STRIKES and their self-titled debut. And if the cover artwork and band's logo looks a little outdated and truly '80s it's because both are how they dream it to be for their full length debut... thirty years ago. LS sounds really '80s, some kind of Dio-meets-Tony Martin-era Black Sabbath. And they are darn good at it. They even brought Tony Martin onboard to provide lead vocals on '301 A.D." and 'Death Valley', two of the best cuts on the record. With a great production by producer Roy Z (Judas Priest, Bruce Dickinson) re-capturing the magic sounds of the mid 80s, LS is pretty killer, especially if you love guitar forward classic metal in the DIO / '80s Sabbath vein.

Alessandro Conti is the singer of the Italian power metal band Trick Or Treat and was also tapped to be the lead singer in Luca Turilli’s RHAPSODY when the two founding members of Rhapsody, Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli decided to part ways and create their own versions of said band. Fabio Lione is instead the original singer of Rhapsody, who fronted the band’s classic albums and he also sang for Alex Staropoli’s RHAPSODY OF FIRE, until he decided to rejoin Luca Turilli on the very recent RHAPSODY world tour.
Complicated family tree now explained, the simplest description of this album is that it is a superb Melodic Metal release with the two singers sharing lead vocals, similarly to what happened in the amazing ALLEN/LANDE (the acclaimed studio project featuring legendary metal vocalists Russell Allen and Jorn Lande) albums, but with a different and very original feel.
The album was written and produced by Simone Mularoni (of DGM fame), who undertook the not easy task to write and perform on the songs with a slightly heavier and more power metal vibe. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Dark Hours
Starting with their debut in 1995, LION'S SHARE went on to land a worldwide record contract with Century Media and release "Two", which was hailed as a melodic metal masterpiece. The CD was promoted by a European tour with metal legends SAXON and a follow-up trek with ICED EARTH and NEVERMORE and more dates with SAXON. In 1998 a tour with U.D.O. and additional club gigs in Sweden took place. With the 1999 album "Fall From Grace", LION'S SHARE streamlined its sound towards a tighter, heavier sound without losing any of its melodic sensibility. An appearance at the 1999 Sweden Rock Festival with bands like SCORPIONS, DEEP PURPLE and MANOWAR was followed by a Scandinavian tour in 2000 with DIO, MANOWAR and MOT�RHEAD. The "Entrance" album came out in 2001 on Massacre Records and was supported by a number of headlining shows and yet another appearance at the Sweden Rock Festival. The band returned with 2007's intense "Emotional Coma". 2008's "The Magic Circle Festival" DVD out of the MANOWAR camp features 2 live tracks by LION'S SHARE.
As with their previous release, "Dark Hours" also features some splendid guest players, including guitarist Michael Romeo (Symphony X) and drummer Conny Pettersson (Anata). "Dark Hours" was mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Symphony X, Paradise Lost, Amon Amarth) at Fascination Street. Additionally, there will be a video filmed for the track, "Judas Must Die".

Scarborough’s favourites sons, LITTLE ANGELS, burst onto the UK rock scene with their radio-friendly American-style hard rock in the late 1980’s. Attracting attention and column inches with their superb musicianship and youthful enthusiasm (one tour was dubbed “Rock And Roll Education” and saw the band playing school halls by day and concert venues by night!), they signed to Polydor Records in 1988. “Don’t Prey For Me” was their first album, released in November 1989 to critical acclaim. Although LITTLE ANGELS undoubtedly benefited from a sustained and quite huge marketing campaign, the sheer cost of such an enterprise would ultimately prove their undoing. And what if they have been releasing one hit single after the other and are looking back on a full collection of songs that have been successful ever since? This is exactly the idea behind the newest Lordi studio album titled "Killection". Once more Mr. Lordi comes up with one of his ideas, absurd and genius at the same time: "Killection" is a fictional compilation album that simply says "what if" LORDI had been in existence since the early 70''''s. It contains all their imaginary hit singles from different periods done with painstaking attention to detail. This is how they would have sounded if LORDI would have made music back then and therefore would have had the hit material to release this compilation now. This is how Mr. Lordi himself sums it up: "Killection" is a fictional compilation album. It contains songs that LORDI would have written between the early 70''''s through the mid-90''''s. Creepy-crawly atmosphere in summer: On 26th July, the Finnish monsters LORDI release their brand-new DVD "Recordead Live - Sextourcism In Z7" via AFM Records. Besides the live cut of the show in Pratteln/Switzerland during their latest "Sextourcism" tour, the DVD provides a lot of bonus material, including some real rarities. The Live show itself has a playing time of two hours. "We just cut a little bit of my stupid announcements on stage", so Mr. Lordi about the impressive duration. "Apart from that, everything that happened this evening ended up on this DVD." The choice of the Z7 is a matter of duration as well: There is no club that hosted LORDI as often as the location next to the German border. On every tour the band played, the musicians hit up in Z7. For that reason, the club became something like a second home to the Finns over the years. The issue of recording a DVD is a premiere: Though there are some live records of LORDI, "Recordead Live - Sextourcism In Z7" is the first official Live DVD, fully approved by the musicians. A plan that LORDI had been pursuing for years and finally were able to put into practice during the "Sextourcism" tour. Mr. Lordi about: "I am very happy that we waited until the "Sextourcism" tour, because we look amazing, the stage looks amazing and everything was perfect to create a stunning DVD." The bonus material is stunning as well: Alongside a tour diary with LORDI, the DVD provides all of the official video clips the band ever made. Even though LOST WEEKEND are in the business for 18 years now they didn�t achieve the real breakthrough yet with their previous five studio albums. After a hiatus the band is back again with new energy and the addition of keyboarder Irvin Parratt to their ranks. The break and the line-up change did good to the band as �Evermore� is LOST WEEKEND�s strongest release to date. The band didn�t change their previous musical formula, but improved their songwriting and their variation possibilities by better balancing the different influences of all band members and Paul Uttley�s not so Melodic Rock-typical voice. So it comes that a song like �Got To Make It Through� features some soft Prog Rock elements a la ARENA or �Got To Make It Through� plays with some massive keyboards in the vein of 1984�s VAN HALEN. The best tracks of the album are the epic and MAGNUM-like �Angel Sublime�, the rousing and almost poppy sounding �Perfect Day�, the slowly growing and RAINBOW-ish sounding �Falling By The Wayside� plus the straight-ahead rocker �Ain�t No Friend Of Mine�. The production of �Evermore� was handled by Martin Kronlund (a. o. DOGFACE, GYPSY ROSE) so it goes without saying that the album�s overall sound leaves not much to be desired.

Other than the material, which pretty much made me a newly found fan of the band and its musical direction, I enjoyed the sound production of this release. The band’s hefty sound crosses between the late 80s / whole 90s BLIND GUARDIAN albums and the modern severing, sharp edges, slices of second and third albums of DARK EMPIRE. As for the music itself, the direction took shape as a great fusion of the themes and music ingredients of both BLIND GUARDIAN and DARK EMPIRE as well but also of REBELLION, PERSUADER and STRATOVARIUS thus making the band’s music melodic oriented, though my personal favourite track “Sun Of Delirious” is a heavy and every tad thrashy riff based phenomenon, infested with keyboards lead, electric sampling, which didn’t ruin my listening experience I might add, and an a rather assorted rhythm section not totally enslaved under the reign of the Euro Power Metal deliverance. Vocal wise, I really liked the diverse voice pattern of Daniel Filipe (RYGEL). Sounding similar to a joint blend of Hansi Kursch and Michael Seifert, Filipe is a wonderful talent and a great vocal discovery, distributing a rough and raspy low register tones along with a manner of mid to high end melodies beautifully.
The music seemed masterful, well crafted punching through with a whole lot amount force as on the smashing “When Madness Calls”, “A Tale Of Luncay”, “Temples of Sand” and “Face Your Insanity” while also sharing a few emotive and moderately story telling as on the fine closer of “My Old Tavern” or the dreamy “To Live Forever”. Also I won’t forget the aforementioned “Sun Of Delirious”that sent strong electrical charges through my mind just as the lunacy and psychosis that LOTHLORYEN composed about. In general, “Raving Souls Society” is more or less in the same level, which is rather high, has an amazing flow and great sound and performance by its creators. I suggest that if you are an open minded Metalhead looking to score something diverse, I believe that you would find a comfy home with this particular release.

The second album from these appropriately named heavy metallers is a filthy collection of songs. Austrians Loud At Least! follow up their four year old debut 'Painful Exploration' with a decidedly less health and safety violation-sounding sequel: 'Dirty'.
Things get off to a rousing start with the blistering riffs of 'Kill The Dragon' that unfolds into a full-bloodied charge of heavy metal. From here onwards a further 12 tracks buzz and storm in a flurry of heavy metal power that will have you headbanging in next to no time. At times they are capable of rousing power metal in the vein of Hammerfall as 'Fire And Ice' shows, and at others Dio or Saxon deserve a salute. 'Ride On Me' and the scorching title track sail along on Gernot Schilcher's powerful voice as he carries each track into the charging riffs.

Brace For Impact
German/Italian melodic metal band Love.Might.Kill is the creation of drummer Michael Ehré (Firewind, Uli Jon Roth, Metalium). LOVECHILD were set up in fall 2002 in Vaduz (Principality of Liechtenstein) by Roger Kaufmann (guitars). He could convince Werner Schweizer, the former Frontman of the famous Swiss Hardrock Band SATROX, to join the Band as a Leadvocalist.
LOVECHILD have been completed by Sven Sieber on the Bass and Danny Zimmermann (ex-SATROX) on the Drums.
Already in May 2003 during one week LOVECHILD recorded their first self produced Maxi-CD, containing the four Songs „Battlefield“, „Perfect Day“, „Midnight Train“ and „Close“. The leadoff single, "Save My Soul" is a guitar driven rocker that will get your rocks off in no time flat. Then you have "White Trash Superstar" a song the band dedicated to their fan club. When it comes down to it, all these songs are great, there is no filler here. So catchy and melodic, you will be humming and singing along, after a listen or two. Lynam is a long overdue breath of fresh air with a very fresh sound. Let's hope the youth of today can figure that out too and not just the people who remember what great music was all about. 'Tragic City Symphony' is one of those rare albums where every song fits every mood. Never have I heard a band that is more true to themselves and their own style than this band. LYNAM fans, and all rock fans, I strongly recommend this album for you.

After seventeen long years singer Oni Logan and guitar wizard George Lynch found their way back together and again show their amazing abilities in some killer new Hard Rock songs.” I would say this new record "Smoke and Mirrors", is the record we should have put out as a follow up to "Wicked Sensation"...better late then never I guess...”, says Lynch presenting the new record.
Lynch Mob were formed by George Lynch, one of the few genuine guitar heroes of substance to emerge from the Los Angeles scene, after DOKKEN split up in 1989. The band’s first album” Wicked Sensation” went on to sell over 500,000 units in the US and featured the talents of singer Oni Logan, Anthony Esposito on bass and another former DOKKEN member Mick Brown on drums. After a tour in support of Queensryche, Logan opted out, with Robert Mason taking his place on the follow up self titled release. However Lynch and Brown eventually returned to Dokken releasing 2 studio albums until he left again in late 1997 putting together a several new incarnations of Lynch Mob and exploring new sounds with different projects.
However Oni Logan and George Lynch would found themselves again in a studio in the summer of 07. “We weren’t sure what was going to happen” recalls George, “but as soon as I heard what Oni was coming up with just off the top of his head, I knew the old chemistry was still there. So we spent many months writing. The first batch of songs had almost a Southern Rock feel to them and there was quite a bit of acoustic and slide work on those. They also had a genuine 70's vibe. These first songs had elements reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac, Zeppelin, Black Crowes, Stones and it was all very bluesy. We lived with those songs for a while then went in and did a second round of collaboration. We had tightened up as a band after touring over the summer and we consciously wrote the newer material with the "Wicked Sensation" record in mind. So we updated the earlier songs a little and wrote a few more "adventurous" track and went in to start recording”.
Joining the new line-up are bassist Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy) and drummer Scott Coogan (Brides of Destruction, Ace Frehley). More than a band, this team is guaranteed to create one of the most explosive shows you can ever experience and shines big time on the brand new recording which is set to bring back Lynch Mob on the map of the most exciting Hard Rock bands around! “Marco Mendoza is literally a gift from Heaven” continues Lynch. “How they figured out how to stuff all that talent and goodness into one person I'll never know. they must have made a mistake at the factory! lol... then there’s Scott Coogan on drums.... baby of the band.. he’s very solid, very "Bonhamesque". not sure if that’s a real word!”
