Facemelter
As the title indicates, Facemelter is a hard rockin'', song-oriented album that lives up to its name. Recorded mostly live in the studio, it captures the band''s raw energy and tightness that they''ve become known for. Featuring heavy grooves, powerful guitars, and strong melodies, the band shows their versatility, delivering a range of high-energy rockers, mid-tempo head-bangers, modern rock grooves, majestic ballads, and signature Y&T rock anthems.
Face-melting is a term that has been with Y&T since the mid-''70s, when a rabid fan ran backstage and told the band, "you melted my face," which inspired the group''s first publishing company: "Facemelting Music."

Incorrect Species – double CD
Despite being one of the heaviest and most consistent US metal acts of the early 80's, Y&T never broke the big time and split in 1990 in an AOR haze. Unwisely, they returned in 1995 during the height of the grunge and pop punk crazes. Accordingly, this rates as perhaps one of the worst comebacks in metal and rock history, as the band firmly embraced grunge with none of the high pitched melodic metal bluster that epitomized their 1980-1983 heyday. With "Endangered Species" Y&T returned to their 70ies/early 80ies roots. Solid hardrock, a bit bluesy all the time, often reminding me of some Van Hagar (Van Halen with Sammy Hagar) songs.
This album offers straight hardrock songs, but not as strong as they used to be during their heydays. Both albums has been re-issued by the band on a double CD containing some additonal live video material.

In 2010, Y&T returned with their first studio album in 13 years "Facemelter" which met with major acclaim from critics and fans, capturing the band's raw energy and tightness for which they've become known.
With original bassist Phil Kennemore's untimely passing from lung cancer in early 2011, the band carries on the legacy that is Y&T. With Brad Lang on bass and vocals, Y&T are now back with “Live at the Mystic”, a new double live CD recorded at the legendary Mystic Theatre in Petaluma, California, one of the most popular venues that Y&T play every year.
This 2-CD set includes 22 songs recorded over 2 nights in November of 2011, including many songs never before released on any other live Y&T CD. The amazing heat to the tracks showcases the power of the band as it currently sounds, playing songs from “Facemelter” as well as all the hits and fan favourites.

Fly From Here
Even though I am a fan of “Owner Of A Lonely Heart” I never really got into YES. So I am surprised that I really dig “Fly From Here”. Fronted by new singer Benoit David and with help from producer Trevor Horn the band recorded an album of which core and highlight is the more than 20 minute long title track. The song is based on an idea the band already demoed in 1980 for their “Drama” album. Further recommendations are “The Man You Always Wanted Me To Be”, “Life On A Filmset” and “Into The Storm”. An interesting and well-done comeback for YES!

Youngblood was officially formed in December of 1989. Jeff Diehl and Danny Williams had played in their high school band "Departure" through their entire time in high school while Bobby Sisk sang and played guitar for various bands through his high school years at the same school from 1981 through 1985. After finding the right drummer (Kevin Kale) the band recorded at least 45 tracks with great sound quality and showcased for major labels like Sony, A & M, Geffen and many others, which all showed interest, but a deal never happened.
