The wave of new Hard Rock bands from Scandinavia doesn’t end. The latest discovery are RECKLESS LOVE from Finland. In comparison with bands like H.E.A.T. or TITAN their sound shows a bigger poser attitude, so they remind you a little bit of acts like MÖTLEY CRÜE and HANOI ROCKS. On a couple of songs you can also hear some influences ranging from Alice Cooper to Billy Idol. The guys are definitely on a good way, but the vocals by Oli Herman sound a bit flat and some songs have turned out way to polished. A few more rough edges would have been welcomed. However, the positive aspects about RECKLESS LOVE’s debut record clearly prevail, so checking it out is still recommended. M. SPÄTH |
