TOMMY CLAUSS (g, ZAR) is no stranger to the German hard rock scene. His first solo effort "Project 8 Center" came into being with the help of some ZAR bandmates and the two female vocalists Zorana Memedovic and Liliana Iodice. Very modern at times but also classic hard rock among other facettes of guitar-driven music. Highlight is the cool "Wild Men Go Wilder", which is slightly reminiscent of DEEP PURPLE whereas the opener "Mea Culpa" is a bit akward and very modern foremost. At the end of the day, it''s an extremely diverse album with elements of metal, hard rock, blues and industrial. |
